We had a great weekend in Crandon!
Day 1 Recap:
Day 1 was a pretty cool and a little wet day, but it didn’t effect any racing or get spirits down. During the 3 Pro Light qualifying laps, Cam finished with the 6th fastest qualifying time out of the 8 trucks that started the race. At the start, Cam powered himself into the 4th position. Coming into lap 4, he improved the lead to 3rd. Cam held a strong 3rd spot for the duration of the race. The official end of day 1, Cam was on the podium with a 3rd place win.
Day 2 Recap:
The qualifying laps were cancelled for the morning due to heavy rain the night before, so Cam was assigned the 5th spot at the start of the race. At the beginning of the race, racer #29 Chad Rayford, rolled his truck what looked like 8 times, which called for a red flag. After the red flag, Cam found himself back in 5th place – where he held up to the competition yellow. On the restart, Cam was spun out by the 6th place driver in the second turn and would have to battle his way back to finish in 5th place.
Overall this was a great weekend. Cam finished with a podium spot on day 1, which leaves him currently tied for 2nd in overall points going into the next round of racing.
We’re looking forward to the next race on July 15-16 Throwdown in the UP at the Bark River International Raceway
